Affects are an essential stimulant for processes of socio-political change. These observations formed the stimulus for this extraordinary exhibition cooperation between Kunstpalais in Erlangen, the Gemeentemuseum Helmond, and the Cultuurcentrum Mechelen, titled Affekte – Emotions – Mixed Emotions, the exhibitions dealt with the increasing importance of affects on society. The extensive catalog introduces the conceptual approaches of the discourse surrounding affects and features the participating artists in interviews.
