Andrea Bowers has over the last 20 years gained an international reputation as an artist and social activist. In 2022 she had a large survey exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago and the Hammer Museum, Los Angeles. Recently the artist had her first solo exhibition, "Moving in Space without Asking Permission", in an Italian institution with Fondazione Furla at Galleria d‘Arte Moderna di Milano.
